Many months ago as I was doing what I do best….SHOPPING, I found this fur vest and fell in love with it. I found it in a store inside Market Stalls in town (Nairobi) and decided to use it for my shoot with the help of my lovely cousin Ida Wangui. Because of time restrictions I only got to do one look. Hope you love the look.
I Love Love this fuss-free look that I came up with for the warmer days ahead of us. It is really easy constructing it hence the fuss-free label and my dear cousin made it special since she is so easy to work with. I was inspired by what I saw people wearing to the Coachella Festival which is a California music and arts festival.
For most people, Sundays are preserved to recuperate from a long week of grinding, nursing hangovers, spending time with family, catching up with friends and sometimes our favourite tv shows. Personally, I love to seize the day and make the most of it by attending service, catching up with family, friends and boyfriend. Basically unwinding and spending time with those that matter.
I don’t know about you guys but I really miss the sun. The weather here in Nairobi has been quite poor if you ask me. Don’t get me wrong though, I do enjoy when the weather isn’t too hot nor too cold like yesterday, but its too boring when its all week. I hate not knowing what to wear because of the unpredictable weather.
Taking time out of your day or week to reflect is the best gift you can give to yourself. I like to describe it as that moment which an individual decides to take some time ( at least 30 minutes) off their schedule to ponder and contemplate their existence. This being in terms of what their current situation is and where they foresee themselves in the future, their challenges and opportunities, changes they want made and how they intend to do so. In short, Self-Evaluation.
